Undergraduate research

Even if you do not pursue a career in psychology, research experience as an undergraduate builds analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills that will be an asset in many settings. That said, being in a lab is just plain fun and full of camaraderie.

Ways to get involved

  • PSY 433 — Research Experience in Psychology
  • PSY 490 — Directed Readings in Psychology
  • PSY 493 — Honors Independent Study
  • Volunteer hours in the lab

For course credit, register for 2 or 3 credit hours (6 or 9 hours per week in the lab), including a weekly lab meeting. Students must be available during regular work hours (8:30am–5:30pm).
